WHAT WE DO

Find out more about our projects and what you are supporting with your generous donations.

PROGRAMS & PROJECTS

Our programs and projects revolve around our mission to help abandoned and neglected dogs. We offer a range of services and initiatives that include shelter, medical care, rehabilitation, spay/neuter services, feeding, medication, and minor rescues for street dogs in South Goa. Our adoption programs are aimed at finding permanent homes for these dogs, while we also work tirelessly to raise awareness about animal welfare issues. We believe that by working together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of these animals and improve their overall well-being.

Puppy Adoption Camps

As soon as we have enough fit and healthy puppies we put them up for adoption. We carry out vital vaccinations, deworming and bathing the puppies before each camp.

On top of this, we do house checks and give the new owner(s) an estimated date for Spay/Neuter when it becomes of age and usually transport the dog ourselves.

Stop Animal Abuse

At Batty Sea Dogs Home Foundation, we are committed to ending animal abuse and neglect. Our team works tirelessly to rescue animals that have been subjected to abuse and to provide them with the care and support they need. We believe that by taking a strong stance against animal abuse, we can create a safer and more compassionate society for all animals.

Animal Education

We believe that education is key to promoting animal welfare. Our animal education programs are aimed at teaching people about the importance of responsible pet ownership, animal behavior, and the role that animals play in our lives. By educating the public, we hope to create a more compassionate and knowledgeable society that is committed to improving the lives of animals.

Dog Feeding

Every day we are out helping to feed all the dogs we can. You'll find us on the streets, at the markets, or even on the beaches. We cook our own food to ensure the dogs and puppies we find get as many nutrients and vitamins as possible. This naturally helps them grow into healthier dogs.

Safe Sterilisations

We team up with local shelters to get Animal Birth Control (ABC) surgeries done for dogs. We set up appointments with shelters, pick up the dogs, and take them in for surgery. After the surgery, the dogs stay at the shelter for three days to recover with the help of professional vets. It’s our way of looking out for them and keeping the stray dog population in check, all while making sure they get the care they need.

Reflective Collars

We routinely give out reflective collars so the stray dogs we see. This is to prevent accidents at night and ensures all motorists on the streets of South Goa can clearly see the dogs. Your donations go directly to buying more of these collars to help save more dogs.
